No Finger or Pop Tart Will Be Punished In Florida

We are now up to three (that we know of) incidents in which a child was suspended from school for ‘pointing’ or ‘chewing’ their weapons in the wrong direction. After all, the number one rule of firearms is never pointing your weapon at something you don’t want to harm, right?

In January, a 6-year-old student in Silver Spring, MD was suspended for making a shooting gesture with his finger.

In February, a student in Ohio was suspended for 3 days for shooting a classmate with his “finger gun”. He was disciplined for bringing a “look a like” firearm on campus. I’ll save my rant on this one for later, although I’m pretty sure that is not what the term “look a like” was originally intended to be defined as.

The next, more recent, incident that we have heard on the news is that a 7-year-old boy was suspended this month from a Maryland elementary school for chewing his Pop Tart into the shape of a gun

Although the child was not punished by his parents, the school has no regret in their decision for implementing their “zero-tolerance policy”.

I understand that some people are terrified by guns, which in turn is fueling this negativity around America’s gun culture (which I have mentioned in my previous post), but where is the line here? Were any children afraid for their lives or threatened by these “gun look-a-likes”? Probably not. If anything, I would guess that the odd way of eating this Pop Tart spiked curiosity by surrounding peers. I’d probably stare and wonder what he was doing too.

Well, thankfully for Florida, there is a line.

Today, the Florida Senate will be holding a committee hearing on a legislation that has become known as the Pop Tart Bill. The new bill ensures that children in Florida public schools will not be punished for imitating a firearm with their hand, their Pop Tarts, or any other ridiculous body part or pastry for that matter.

“Children should not be punished because some adult lacks common sense or the capacity for rational judgment,” said Marion Hammer, a former president of the National Rifle Association and the current head of its Florida lobbying operation.

Ms. Hammer said the NRA supports the legislation because it would “give guidance and relief to school administrators who must walk a fine line between following the law and protecting our children” as well as “stop the abusive result of overreactions of some administrators.”

-Emily Miller: Washington Times

The new bill also states that children will not be punished for expressing their rights to free speech by wearing or promoting clothing in support of guns or the 2nd amendment right to bear arms.

After all, the zero-tolerance policy isn’t about keeping children safe, it’s about controlling them. Take away their creativity, imagination, and their opinions and what are you left with? A bunch of brain-washed liberal children who will be paving the way for our future generation. Thankfully Florida has adopted the right mindset, have you?

Hitler Survivor CONDEMNS Gun Control

When are you people going to wake up and see that history repeats itself? Pay close attention to past events and understand what went wrong. Do you think you learn about history all through school because it’s fun? You’re learning about it as a lesson. Haven’t you ever heard of learning from past experiences? Isn’t the definition of an idiot doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different outcome?

Listen to this woman. She lived it. She saw how everything played out. “Hitler did not seem like a monster”. Obviously, otherwise he wouldn’t have been elected. Some even describe him as a ‘smooth talker’. Look at Obama (preferably after you take the brainwashing goggles off) and tell me he is innocent. OPEN UP YOUR EYES. He is well educated on manipulating the American people. Listen to his speeches. He makes everything sound like it’s good. Go back and listen some more– I guarantee you that you will find that one speech after another is full of lies, contradictions, and deceit. Of course, he has to say the right things in order to get people to trust in him.

“It took 5 years, little by little, to escalate up to a dictatorship”

Look at history. EVERY oppressive government that abused its own people started out using gun control to disarm and control its citizens. She even said it herself. Hitler required gun registration and played it off as if it would make them safe, because after all, they can track the serial numbers on the weapons to the criminals. Did that happen? No. What happened? They were disarmed. They will start with a gun registration only to obtain a list of citizens who own them, just like they have in the past, and then YOU WILL BE DISARMED. What happens when citizens are left unarmed while corrupt government and military who follow presidential orders are armed? YOU ARE LEFT DEFENSELESS. They WANT you to fear them so they can take control. How do you not see that our country is headed straight down the path to tyrannical government?

Let’s say I’m wrong. What’s that going to hurt? Probably nothing, but at least I could say I was prepared. Now let’s say I’m right. Where does that leave you? Unarmed, helpless, afraid, manipulated, powerless, and taken over by government THAT YOU ELECTED into office. That YOU HELPED with your anti-gun rallies and debates. Then you’ll look at yourself and what you’ve turn your country into and ask “what in the hell have I done?”

It’s happening now. States like California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, DC, Maryland, and more to come have already started down the same path. Making registration sound as if it is for a reason other than to document who owns a firearm and disarm them. When you stop fighting for one right, you will lose them all.

“When people fear the government, that’s Tyranny. When the government fears its people, that’s LIBERTY.”

Stand strong America. Keep your guns and fight.

God Bless.

Why Good People Should Have Guns

This girl hit the nail on the head. Gun control is about control. Government isn’t going to disarm the military or police officials (who take orders from the president), but WILL disarm citizens. GOOD citizens. What makes you think this is a good thing? All your anti-gun liberals aren’t thinking! You want to disarm RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERS and leave criminals and corrupt government armed? Who’s going to save you then?

Look at countries throughout history where government has become too powerful. When the Nazi power was elected in Germany, the people had a Constitution, yet SO many innocent people lost their lives. “Constitution does not stop tyranny. When it comes to liberty, nothing can destroy it but downright force”. Do you want that to be America next?

Listen to this woman. She’s got it down.

Did You Register That Gun… Tattoo?

Someone has a case of over-reacting! Be careful, I’ve heard it’s been going around.

Michael Smith, citizen of Maine, got into an argument with a landscaping company in his area who felt “threatened” by the presence of a gun. Turns out, Smith was just packing.. ink? In most cases, you wouldn’t think a tattoo of a gun could get you in such trouble!

Here is a little clip from a recent article found in the New York Daily News:

Maine man Michael Smith woke up to police with assault rifles drawn on his front lawn Tuesday morning after authorities believed he had a flashed a gun during an argument.

A shirtless Smith had angrily shooed a tree removal company off of his property — spooking the landscapers with they thought was a handgun tucked in his pants.

But the weapon he was weilding was only a life-sized tattoo of a handgun with the barrel of the pistol tucked just below the beltline.

“Obviously it was a misunderstanding and he didn’t have a weapon, but we had to respond to the initial report as if he did,” Maine State Police Trooper Scott Duff told the Morning Sentinel. “We take all precautions when we don’t have the details.”

Smith said that he was sleeping after working a night shift at his home on Ray Nors Drive when he heard a loud ruckus outside of his window.

Talk about your bad luck! Could you imagine what COULD HAVE happened to this innocent man over his tattoo? For God’s sake, he had troopers descending down around his house with rifles loaded and ready to go all because someone thought they saw a gun held up in his waist band.

Guns aren’t what is making this country unsafe, stupidity is.

Is Your Fear of Guns Clouding Your Judgement?

SO many people are absolutely petrified of guns, which in turn eliminates any if not all trace of logic in a gun debate. Anti-gun advocates are so set on trying to find “facts” to fit their agenda but the truth is, they’re only fueling the fire with their own fears.

What is fear? Let’s take the first definition from Dictionary.com.

A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.

“Whether the threat is real or imagined”. I like that. What argument do we hear most often as to why people want gun-control? They want it because guns don’t make them ‘feel’ safe. Anti-gun advocates have it in their heads that guns make their world unsafe. There’s that word again! Now let’s look at FACT. Fact is, guns DO make you safe. Millions of people’s lives have been saved BECAUSE OF GUNS. Once again, if you’re in danger, who do you call? Don’t you call the police? And what do you expect them to do? Use their guns to save you.

Just because you are afraid of something doesn’t mean it is dangerous or meant to cause you harm. It also doesn’t mean that it won’t cause you harm just because you’re not afraid. Do you fear you’ll get in a car accident every day when you go to work? Do you fear your slice your hand every time you’re chopping vegetables? Do you fear you’ll drown every time you go to the swimming pool? Truth is, you probably have feared these things before once in your life but think about when. Was it when you first started learning or if you’ve never done it before? Once you learned how to swim, you were/are no longer afraid to drown. Once you learn to drive, it becomes second nature and you’re no longer terrified of dying in an accident. Once you get comfortable chopping vegetables, you no longer have horrific thoughts of chopping off your fingers or stabbing yourself.  Yet, just because you’re not afraid doesn’t mean these things can’t happen to you. Same applies for the opposite, just because you’re afraid doesn’t mean they will. Same applies for guns. People are afraid of guns because they don’t know anything about how to operate them properly or what to do in a situation when they’re around guns.

Why are people afraid of guns? “Because guns were made for one purpose, to kill people”. I hate this response more than anything and it is used as if it were a valid argument. Nothing in this world is made for only one purpose, including guns. Guns were made for protection and hunting. They are associated with murder because people have used them for such purposes, but look at the mass amounts of people who’s lives were saved because someone else had a gun. Just because someone owns a gun, doesn’t mean they’re going to harm you or anyone you love, no matter how bad you fear it.

STOP BASING YOUR GUN CONTROL ARGUMENTS ON YOUR FEARS THAT IT WILL HAPPEN. Emotions do not just turn into fact. You want to make your world a safer place? Educate yourself and your families.

I just wish that anti-gun fanatics would go and shoot a gun before spouting off their liberal non-sense. How many liberals do you think have actually SHOT a gun before? VERY very few, and that shows in the small percentage of liberals that own guns. Look, I get it. I was terrified of guns before I knew how to handle them. I grew up around a grandpa that has a room full of hunting rifles and I was NEVER TO GO IN THAT ROOM. That made me fear them because I was taught from the get-go that they were dangerous. Truth of the matter is, they wouldn’t have gone off just because I walked into the room. That was how I was made to feel. Further proof that feelings should not be a determining factor when it comes to creating laws. FACT IS, guns don’t just “go off”. FACT IS, guns are only dangerous if they are in the hands of a dangerous person. FACT IS, we have a constitutional right to protect ourselves. Whether it be from criminals, attackers, or unlawful government. FACT IS, I don’t want to hear a word about “gun-control” from someone who has never taken 10 seconds to learn gun safety and proper handling. 9 times out of 10, once you educate yourself on how to handle and shoot a firearm, you’ll no longer “feel” afraid. You may feel a little ignorant that all of these so-called “truths” about gun-violence that you advocated so strongly for are false, but at least you won’t feel afraid.

Now tell me, how do you make a valid argument based off of your emotions? You don’t. YOU BASE ARGUMENTS ON FACTS.

Colorado Students Go On Field Trip To A Gun Range

School officials in Pueblo County Colorado went against the grain with the ever so popular anti-gun trend and took their middle school students on a field trip to a local shooting range.

Project Appleseed was brought in to interact with the students and instruct them on the importance of gun safety and proper handling. All of the middle school students who attended the field trip were able to take a shot at a target with live ammunition. After all, hands-on learning has proven to be most effective right?

After getting permission from the county sheriff’s office and the parents, the field trip was scheduled a week after the students learned about the Revolutionary War. Jonah Statezny was interviewed by the area’s local news channel, KRDO-13 where he expressed his enthusiasm for the ‘not-so-ordinary’ school trip.

I’m very excited, today we’re going to come out here on the gun range and shoot a little bit. The past week we’ve learned about the revolutionary war… I think everyone should learn how to use a gun but learn how to use it properly, and the precautions you’re supposed to take and how serious a gun really is.

Let me just say, I think this is an AMAZING step forward for gun owners. Incorporating gun safety into school curriculum can help kids understand a gun’s full potential. So many teens think that guns are a toy and don’t realize the damage they can do if not handled properly. Accidents can and will be prevented as long as people continue to take a stand and educate everyone in gun safety and proper firearm use.

I applaud you Pueblo County. You have my full support. Heck, I wish I would have gotten this opportunity as a kid!

Pregnant Woman Raped in Horrific Home Invasion

PHOTO: Eric D. Bass, Michon A. Thomas and Kristopher J. Hughes are seen in undated police photos.

Three suspects are accused of the break-in: Kristopher Hughes, 20, Michon Thomas, 22, and Eric Bass, 23. They face charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery, and six counts each of first degree sexual assault.

Less than a month ago, news stories reported of a horrific home invasion where a young couple was beaten and sexually assaulted.

Madison Police say that the three men planned a home invasion, but broke into the wrong home around 5am on February 23. Police say the intruders were aware it was not the intended home but proceeded to attack a legally blind man and a 6 month pregnant woman anyways. The man was beaten and the pregnant woman was raped and forced to perform oral sex for almost 45 minutes.

“I can tell you that in my 27-plus years of policing here in Madison, this is probably one of the most disturbing and heinous crimes that I’ve ever seen,” says Interim Chief Randy Gaber.

The victims were then put in a dark laundry room to wait as their belongings were taken. Once they believed the intruders were gone, they tried to seek help of neighbors down the street. With no response, they then called 911.

Quote from ABC News:

“Is someone here?” the man called out from bed. A suspect then turned on the bedroom light and three men burst into the room, demanding money.

“Someone’s gonna die tonight,” one suspect said, according to the complaint. One suspect was allegedly wearing a mask from the movie “Scream.”

The female victim told the three men repeatedly that she was pregnant, and that the men could take what they wanted from the house.

Reports say Hughes pulled the male victim from bed, laid him on his back and began hitting him in the face with a gun and punching and kicking his body.

Another suspect pulled the woman from bed and ordered her to lie on her stomach in the hallway, the report says. A suspect allegedly took a handgun and put it to the woman’s stomach, saying, “You’re going to die tonight.”

All three men are accused of sexually assaulting the woman, and one is accused of forcing her to perform oral sex.

One week later, 3 more were charged for helping plan and carry out the attack.

This couple had opted not to own a personal defense firearm in their home. Could imagine if they did? Could all of this have been prevented? What people fail to realize is that violent crimes can happen to anyone. It isn’t just things you see on TV, read on the news, or have horrific nightmares about. It is a reality even in neighborhoods where you think you’re safe. It doesn’t matter if you’re a good person, have lots of friends, have no enemies. Heck, these scum bags didn’t even care that the people they were attacking were legally blind without glasses and pregnant! Perhaps they didn’t want a firearm around for protection because guns are “icky” “dangerous” “violent” and oh, they kill people. In any event, bad things happen to good people. When are you going to stop leaving your family out in the open to become a victim of a crime like this? I not blaming this couple of what happened to them. I can see and understand how they would believe that because they carry on normal lives, don’t engage in risky behaviors, and they have a child on the way that no one would hurt them. Stories like these should cause people to wake up! Instead you hear all about how these criminals had a gun. Exactly. THEY’RE CRIMINALS. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT LAWS OR IF THEY’RE BREAKING THEM. Why aren’t the media focusing more on why the victims didn’t have a gun?

If this couple had a gun by their bedside and had quick access, do you think the woman would have been raped? Do you think the man would have been beaten?
